Cloud and AI that
survive production
> Cloud & AI Solution Engineer
I’m Tommaso Sacco. 8 years in IT, the last 5 at Microsoft, spent turning Azure architecture into something teams can actually run — landing zones, migrations, application modernisation and the automation underneath it all. Public sector and enterprise, from the whiteboard to production.

Ministry of Economy and Finance → IBM → Microsoft.

About
A route into engineering that wasn’t a straight line
Born in Caserta in 1991, based in Rome. I didn’t start in IT — my first years were spent in the administrative department of the Caserta Local Health Authority, handling digital protocol, filing and scheduling.
That detour turned out to be useful. It taught me how organisations actually work, where processes break, and why the elegant technical answer is rarely the one that gets adopted. Everything since — servers, automation, cloud architecture, AI — has been an attempt to close that gap from the other side.
Today I work with enterprise and public-sector teams on Microsoft Azure: reference architectures, landing zones, modernisation paths, and the workshops and proofs of concept that turn a slide into a decision.
Learning never stops. Getting involved, experimenting and accepting challenges is the best way to grow — professionally and personally.

Skills
What I actually work with
Four layers, one thread: designing systems a team can still run confidently a year after I’ve left the room.
Azure & cloud architecture
Reference architectures, landing zones and modernisation paths for enterprise and public-sector estates — designed so the trade-offs are written down instead of rediscovered during an incident.
Automation
Years spent replacing manual runbooks with playbooks. Led a Red Hat Ansible automation team, coordinating playbook developers and defining deployment patterns.
Systems & infrastructure
The layer everything else stands on: physical and virtual servers, disaster recovery, patching and the unglamorous operational work that keeps platforms alive.
Solution engineering
Connecting business drivers to technology: workshops, demos and proofs of concept, partner co-sell scenarios, and the architecture decisions that make a business case stand up.
